Vito B tinkering

Tell me if I'm boring you about cameras....Anyway, last week I tinkered with my Vito B camera. I bought this little beauty on ebay about 9 months ago. Unfortunately some herbert had previously taken it to pieces and not put it back together again very well.

I figured out how to fit it all back together again some time ago - and ran a film through it. Unfortunately, I hadn't quite re-assembled the lens focussing ring correctly...so on large apertures the focussing was a bit off. I have hopefully corrected it with my latest episode with micro screwdrivers and magnifying glasses! I'll pop another film through it and display any decent prints later.

If you're still with me on this post - the camera is from the 50/60's - it's a rangefinder, no focussing screens, no light meter (let alone TTL), fully manual, etc. Works in conjunction with a Zeiss Ikon Ikophot light meter I bought separately. Cool.

Bit of Cow Parsley. Bit dull, perhaps?

White flower #2....

This probably needs a bit of cropping?

New plantlife.....

I've started a new plantlife collection - following a request from a family member for "white flowers" to supplement their existing collection of tressillian's photos. Some of them are attached here. Let me know what you think.

Arty farty car shots

As Gran Morgan would say "...there's a bitter east wind. Pity the poor bed-and-breakfasters on a day like this...." I didn't hang about taking these shots - biting wind and about to snow.

Generally, I hate car shots - especially if somebody is draped over the bonnet. However, I promised some of the Mini and the Merc. The Merc has been put to bed for the remainder of the winter - so you'll have to wait.....

The sublime to the ridiculous?

...or vice versa? You choose. A couple of weeks ago the tressillian household took delivery of a new (actually 18 month old) car. Now bearing in mind our other car is a rusty, leaky classic Mercedes 500SL (convertible, 2-plus-2, V8, 5 litre, no storage) - we went for the sensible option, of course. Not. A mini convertible - all the features of the SL, but with no V8 and 1.6 litres. Pictures of each to follow.
