It's on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 1st and 2nd July between 14:00 and 20:00 and also on the Monday evening between 17:00 and 20:00. I'll post a link to the Brockley Open Studios 2006 website when it's published. The Brockley Open Studio event is an annual one - all the local artists and photographers in the neighbourhood open up their studios/houses to exhibit their works to visitors. Last year 50 artists took part - so you could spend all day at it. Please come along.

Exhibition 2006 - Coast
I've just signed-up for Brockley Open Studios again this year. It's sometime early in July - more details to follow.I think there will be two themes - both shot on a recent trip to Cornwall. The first is a few photos of the coast - lichen, barnacles, rock pools, etc.

Peeved....
Not the most cheerful of cats at the best of times - even less so when there's a camera lens thrust in his face. Wolfie - with his "I'm not amused, but I'll humour him" face.He was even less amused when I booted him off my chair a few minutes later. Still, we all know who's TC in chez Morgan.

New camera's first outing
A couple of weekends ago, I treated myself to a new camera - a Canon 5d. This weekend Sara and I tripped out to Westonbirt arboretum, camera in tow.The arboretum was cold and "bare" - the winter has been so prolonged in the UK that everything is about a month behind. However, managed to capture a couple of interesting flower shots - mainly of magnolias and camelias. Two or three shots posted here for you.
Now the technical bits - the 5d is a semi-pro body with 12.8 megapixels and a full frame sensor. This means that the images are fab - and I don't have the bother of the 1.6 multiplication telephoto factor on the lenses.
I took the shots in both "JPG" and "RAW" file formats. Despite the very large size files, the RAW format was definitely worth it - as post production was easier, better and produced better images that the JPGs.
