Crack of dawn

It was easy for me as I was still jet-lagged - less so for Becca (opposite) who gradually became multi-syllabic as the morning wore on. The weather had been atrocious (see below) - but the rain eased up for one day while we were in Yosemite. There were plenty of stars out as we dragged ourselves out of the cabin at 06:30 - heading for a fantastic vantage point looking eastwards up Yosemite valley.

The lighting was tricky - with a very bright sky and deep shade in the valley itself. In the end a combination of ND grads and blue grad filters achieved the follwing shots.

I'll post Becca's b&w shots - if she sends me some - later on.
